New (to me) 2016 Targa 4S
Hello 991 owners. After many years without a 911 (a string of BMW and Audi leases), I finally purchased my second one – a 2016 Targa 4S in lava orange. About 15 years ago, I had an ’89 964 C4 that I owned for just two years and sold due to arriving babies in the family. The day after I sold that car, I started looking for the next and it took ~15 years… worth the wait though!
I purchased the Targa in a private sale from a retired doctor (nearing 70 years old) who drove easy and pampered the car – it’s in meticulous condition, fully serviced at a Porsche dealer, with 21k miles on the clock. It has a number of key options with an original MSRP of $153k.
I get that the Targa is more of a luxury/sports GT tourer than hardcore 911 and that suits me just fine, perfectly in fact.
I’m looking forward to contributing to this board.

I have no idea of why it would matter that a 70 year old doctor owned it but welcome to a new Targa owner! And I think mine is just as much a sports car as the other models, especially with a Stage 2, DSC, etc.

Fair point.. but it mattered to me that it had been not been driven aggressively.
