It’s too late to help you, but I always do a video walk-around of my car when I drop it off. Yeah, they have to wait a whole 2 minutes for me to do this, but they’re also very aware of what I’m doing. Good luck getting an acceptable resolution to yours. Hopefully the dealer will do the right thing.

Quick update. The dealership was actually fantastic. They owned the issues and are allowing me to take it to a reputable detail shop for pint correction and ceramic coating of the rear bumper. I’m glad I stayed calm and gave them the opportunity to make the right call. It’s still and unfortunate and a bit of a hassle to have to make the extra trips and the fact that it happened in the first place but it was great that they took responsibility and allowed for a reasonable resolution. I hope I can trust this dealership in the future. They definitely know I’m that customer that will inspect the car after the service.

Good deal, but what about the paint chip?

it’s about the size of a small rock chip. They gave me a tube of touch up paint for the detailer to use. I’m more comfortable going that route and avoiding respraying anything.

Sounds like a reasonable response / solution to the issue.

Good for the dealership to accept responsibility.

I always walk around the car with the service advisor before drop off for things like this. Yes, they also scuffed my 997TT while replacing some parts but they pay for the professional detail job.

Great outcome. Glad you stayed calm and got it taken care of.

Word of advice next time for you (and everyone else): take the 60 seconds to do a visual walk-around of your car with your SA prior to leaving. If you have no damage or noticeable marks, mention that.

Default The saga continues

Got her out for nice long drive today. Received a cooling system fault about 10 minutes in. Continued driving and the temp stayed right at 194 the entire time. More concerning I noticed the exhaust tone is more pronounced with a ton of air whooshing sound and the boost will not go beyond 12 PSI no matter what when previously it maxed at 18 PSI. They definitely didn’t put this thing back together correctly after the water pump replacement. I’m beyond disappointed. Will be going back on Monday.

Did you take it to Porsche of the village? I bought my 991.2 S from them... seemed like good guys.
