Hello to all. wanted to introduce myself as a 10+ year lurker and new member/991.1 owner. have been leaching info/knowledge from you folks for many years and am excited to finally join in on the fun . 25 years of saying "i'm gonna get one someday" finally ended with my recent pickup of a crazy clean 2013 C2S. if it hadn't been as nice as it was, i probably would have found another excuse to walk away again (like i've done countless times). found the right one and pulled the trigger. using it as my spring/summer/fall daily commuter with lots of traffic so the PDK made the most sense. it's still an absolute joy to drive. dreading losing it in the approaching winter but will have it ready to roll for the few nice winter days we do get (Chicago-land so not too many).. until then, i'm gonna drive it like i stole it and enjoy every minute. thank you all again for the incredible resource you've been. look forward to being a part of the community.

Well when your first Porsche is a Carrera S, I say well done. if me I would add the full length Porsche side stripe (wheel to wheel) in silver and call it a day.

What are your plans? Any mods? Do you guys use front plates in IL?
thx for the welcome. 2 plates are required in IL so sadly i do have one upfront. have a few very light cosmetic mods in mind now but i'm sure that'll change hanging around here. plan on driving it often/daily most of the year so no drastic mods. drives so nice as-is, i'm not feeling the need to change much/anything. went with adding the matt black "911 Carrera S" emblems in back for starters (it was ordered with badges deleted when new, but i liked/wanted them). i know it's frowned on by most owners, but also wanted a little color pop out back ....so i had them paint the "S" RED (sorry to everyone i've offended lol). easy/cheap to reverse if i decide to go back to matt black but so far, i like the red. clear side markers are very likely next on the list. no doubt i'll want something else by the time that gets done. it came pretty well equipt. only thing i wanted that wasn't included was the sport exhaust. otherwise, it's all good with options for me. absolutely love the steering wheel!
i can tell this place is gonna be trouble. just ordered the clear led side markers. it was something i was considering/knew would get done eventually but you guys were relentless in your recommendations!! LOL should be here friday.
