Default Water Pump Leaking

Found this tonight. Had a coffee run for tomorrow and had been noticing some strange drips on the garage mat. So I took a closer look and found the pink mess. Low coolant too. Still have six months of warranty, so should be ok. 9200 miles on the car.

Edit: I have to say, thanks to this board, I knew what to keep an eye on, it was not a surprise. Thanks to all who have reported this issue!

Yikes, good luck with the repairs. Hopefully you have some coolant on tap to complete the run and then get it fixed next week.

thanks- calling them in the morning. Cancelled today’s run, dont want to take a chance- based on the width of the coolant stain- looks like a serious leak. I would feel better if they sent a flat bed for the 20 mile ride to the service dept.
Too bad all the events were cancelled this year where we could catch up.

Ping when fixed and we'll have our own cars and coffee. I just returned from Zumbach's in New Cannan. Few guys continue to get together on Pine St.

Would be great if they had one just to get back and forth from the dealer. It's not my daily driver, so not a big deal either way. Just want it fixed. Suppose the silver lining is no over heat yet and pretty close to warranty end. Would not be surprised if it took longer than a week. Hope your fix was done correclty.

Will do, let me know when you do New Canaan again. I will bring the Macan if the 911 isn't ready.

Lower Fairfield county on the coast. No word of a C&C this year. Love the Panny!

Exact same thing happened to me yesterday too! I was cleaning the car and notices a leak under the rear of the car... and it is coolant! I still made it to cars and coffee this morning but drove the Macan... I hoping it is a quick repair. Good luck with your repair!

C&C is cancelled this year, just informal gatherings. Would love to see a Panamera, I showed up in my M3 today and, luckily, nobody threw bananas at me!

Let's pick a date that works. Likely an early morning on a weekend.

Ha, was thinking about doing the same thing with my "spare" Porsche. Took a great ride in the Macan today with the Mrs instead. Sorry to hear about your defective water pump. Lets compare speed to repair.

Repair is < one day job, if they have the parts. Unfortunately my dealer had to overnight parts from Porsche warehouse in Exton, Pa. Oh well, two days ain't bad.
