Same with me, two days. I was going to drop the car off this evening, but I asked about a flat bed from home, and sure enough they picked up the car right out of my garage. The flat bed company moves Lambos, Aston Martins and Bentleys for a a high end dealer in Greenwich, Ct, so I wasn't too worried about my lowly 911 with this company. Driver kept me informed every step of the way.

Service advisor said he wanted to keep the car an extra day, as they are having trouble getting the air out of the engines after the water pump change.

Does anyone know if they replace the pump with the same part? Or was it upgraded?

Picked up the car this evening. Ran fine on the 20 mile ride home.

The pump part number listed is OPB-121-005-C. Hope it isn't the same POS they removed.

Awesome, you're back on the road! Mine is still at the dealer... hoping to hear some news tomorrow.

Let us know how it goes. Let them take their time to get the air out.
At least I got 3.5 years out of the first pump. Hope you had the same length of service on the first one.

Am I the only one that finds it troubling and disheartening that 991 water pumps are letting go at 9200 miles? What does Toyota know that Porsche doesn't when a $15k corolla has a water pump that lasts 100k miles ?

Rem- none of us are under any illusions that our cars are Toyota perfect. Most of us experience remarkably few issues with our complex and high performance cars. I'd rather get a few issues repaired over the years than fall asleep daily behind the wheel of a Toyota.. By the way, of the many cars I've owned, one Corolla was purchased 11 years ago. It lasted exactly one year in the fleet and was dumped at an Audi dealer for a gorgeous A4 cabriolet.
