I think it all comes down to your specific use-case. If my 911 were a daily driver I'd switch to dedicated winter tires between mid-october and mid-april every year. But, I don't drive it when it's going to rain, at least, not on purpose. In the winter, I plan to only use it on clear and dry days that are at or near 0C. For the crappy days, I'll take out my Golf R and go drifting guilt-free
