The ash isn’t good. That’s a fact.
I just go to the self service wash use high pressure soap spray wash then rinse with deionized water
no mits or brush
done this to wife’s macan every couple days....

will it destroy your car probably not.....

Fear mongering.

You can make LYE with ash and water, but the reaction would not happen quickly enough. Washing the ash off of the car with the water will be fine.
