Default CarQuest oil filter = Mann Filter

I restocked my oil today at Advance Auto with their oil change special. 5qt's Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5w40 w/free filter for $34 and was surprised to see the CarQuest filter is actually a Mann Filter

When you turn around and say WOW it looks good even filthy.

But what about the "peace of mind" from an official Porsche box that comes with a $400 dealer oil change? You can't put a price on that.

Haha. Good find and thanks for letting us know.

Nice. Have you used Pennzoil before? Would be great to see a UOA of this oil.

That's the only oil that has been in the car since new .... the dealer here in Nashville uses it as service fill as well so I just continued after the 1st oil change.

Now at 115K I still don't have any noticeable oil burn.

But I've been meaning to do an oil test...... of course I think of it as the last drop drains from the pan.

.
