Porsche Tire Protection Package - Acceptable?
Does anyone have any experience with how strict Porsche Service are with regards to worn out tires when you have the Tire Protection package through your lease/finance agreement?
Basically, my 991.2 back tires are very ready for a new pair of tires, but apparently a friend told me that this is unacceptable wear and tear.
For example, if I were to mysteriously run over two nails, would that then allow it to be accepted?
Just seems silly to pay for the service and then not be able to use it when you need it.
My appointment is tomorrow.
Here's a pic for reference:

This look like normal wear. Even if it is due to bad alignment, I doubt "Tire Protection" covers it.
Most tire protection is also prorated, so if the tire is ready to change already, it doesn't suddenly provide you a new tire. Lastly, yes, most extra warranties people buy never go to your advantage, if they did, they wouldn't be selling them.

You mean protection (insurance) from nail damage or bubbles etc?
Those kinds of add-ons don’t cover wear and tear, and those pics show wear and tear. New tires are on you.

This common wear of 911 tires. They have negative camber dialed in for cornering grip, not for even wear. Likely not covered.
I had close to 12k miles on my rears and just replaced them due to a nail. Also had the factory negative camber dialed back some to help with inner tire wear.
With the new alignment the car drives fine, time will tell on longevity.

Thank you all for your recommendations. We managed to cover one of the tires under the tried program and I paid for the other so not too bad all in all.
Just got an alignment and feels like new again!
