Default Targa top help

Hi all! I’m a brand new 991.1 targa 4s owner and lo and behold- my first day of ownership I am getting a message saying the targa top is not fully closed after I have closed it (and so cannot drive off without the warning). It says “fully close targa top” or something to that effect. From the inside and outside everything looks fine.

any targa owners out there ever experience this?

thanks all

Try the process again. Open it and then close it again. It may find its way and the message will go away.

Thanks. PTS-BRG, I’ve tried opening and closing multiple times and keeps on happening.

Try using the palm of your hand and putting some pressure (push) on the latch above the rear view mirror to see if it is seated deeply in the top of the windshield frame.

Pts-brg. Of course after I get home and go to try what you recommended, the roof is magically back to normal. Appreciate the reply though. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Default targa top

I just had a recall notice on my targa that apparently was for all convertibles and it was to check the locking mechanism of the top. check with your Porsche Service Center.
