CPO verification
#16
Having bought a couple CPO Porsches before, I'm falling into the "dealership is real slow in submitting the CPO paperwork" and/or "Porsche is real slow in processing said paperwork" camp. Just ask the dealership for something in writing confirming the paperwork was submitted. That dealership has been active on this board before and I haven't heard anything bad about them.
regarding dealer’s rep on here: yes, that’s why I haven’t mentioned them explicitly here. Giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The point being that "if" the car was sold through the BMW dealership, PCNA will disavow the CPO warranty. Something about "out of their control". This is in the fine print on the PCNA web site.
So, I'll agree with @ducktails , hopefully it's a paperwork latency issue, and all will be well. Sending good thoughts your way.
PS you bought the best color there is, even if I say so myself.

Wait hold on a second. You bought a car Saturday and are now jumping to lawsuits and conclusions BEFORE you pickup the damn phone and call and talk to the dealer? WTH ....
Having bought several CPO cars from dealers there is a sold registration, as CPO is from date of sale, not date of CPO, unless they registered a sale prior. That's been my experience. If you bought the car Saturday there is a great chance the sold paperwork hasn't been fully completed.
Was this sold by Porsche Fresno?

Lot of assumptions here:
1. you assumed I should know the rules when clearly posted in the start that I don’t. AND I didn’t start to freak out until the PCNA lady was like “uhh I have no idea what’s going on”. Now she didn’t tell me these rules, no one on rennlist (I searched) told me these rules.
2. You assumed I didn’t contact them. (I did.)
3. You assumed I’m talking lawsuits w/my lawyer. No, I like being prepared especially after the PCNA call.
4. You assumed it’s a customer’s responsibility to know how the CPO process works. I don’t know how I feel about that.
5. Every comment here either suggested that I should either have something in writing or the PCNA would have the info. (Not just in this thread but rennlist forums, planet 9 forums).
6. I never mentioned where I got the car in the original post (for this exact reason). I provided a link later on that doesn’t have their business name. People either know CJ or Sean or they don’t. But everyone who wants to do business with them will know the business name. I know if I mentioned their name in a negative way it would look bad on them and is searchable.
no update as of now.
But your post, if true, (I don’t know you, didn’t even bother to look you up, just like you don’t know me), is good news.

Update
Dealer called me back. Explained the reasoning of no show in PCNA. I’ll be getting something in the email today and a hard copy of docs in the mail.
I will properly pimp/critique the dealership and its personnel in question and share my almost 1 year long, (mostly) frustrating and joyous and hopefully educational for future owners roller coaster journey to Porsche ownership...soon.
thank you 🙏🏽 for the kind words about the car. I will properly start a new thread once I have some time with it.
I’m going to edit the original thread and add more keywords so future lost souls can benefit from the information provided up here.

I have had it saved on cargurus. It’s been there a long time. I wondered why and figured it was because it was base and awd which I love. To each their own. The ad did say CPO which is why I saved it. It was listed for $84k.

Spyerx, Introduce yourself. So next time someone googles
Porsche CPO verification this thread shows up and they can know who you are, (something like I’m a dealer/used to be a dealer/have bought and sold 145 911s in my life/Porsche employee)...sincerely it helps.🙏🏽 (I quickly looked you up and it seemed like you been here since 2012)...
because I hadn’t that read anywhere until I saw your message what you said was right and that information was the KEY and should’ve been shared with me by PCNA.

To the extent this thread can serve as a resource, I wanted to support the above statement. I can append the email I got from PCNA in 2018 when I enquired about my 981 S. After I purchased it, I located a CPO "Credit Card" in the glove box. I was pretty stoked, since I didn't realize the car might actually be a CPO car during the sale. Woot!
Or so I thought. I contacted PCNA, and they regretfully informed me that because the car was sold to me by a BMW dealer, it was ineligible for CPO. I have the original email from PCNA. Here is the redacted text of the reply I got:
Mr. Jenkins,
Thank you for your reply, I hope this email finds you well!
We have updated your information in our records and I am happy to confirm that you are now listed as the owner in our system. However, it looks like there may have been some misinformation provided to you by your dealership regarding the CPO warranty.
The CPO warranty will only transfer with a vehicle if it is sold from person to person, or if the vehicle is purchased from an authorized Porsche dealership. If a vehicle has been sold to or purchased from an unauthorized dealership or broker, the CPO warranty is void. For further details, please feel free to visit our website: https://www.porsche.com/usa/approvedused/porscheapproved/features/warranty/
I understand this may not be the answer you were seeking and I apologize if this information was not provided to you. Please feel welcome to contact us if you have any additional questions.
Kind Regards,

Second thing to add, there is a good bit of discussion on CPO and it's terms in this thread.

From the thread, my "welcome" package is pictured below.

Congrats on the new car! I actually had that one on my last this past Memorial Day (bought a CPO in the LA area). My biggest issue with that car is that its from the Nick Murray video (C2S vs C4 chipped). Really didn't want to take a chance with a modified north east car. I know I'm being absolutely paranoid - it's a beautiful beautiful car!
