Default 2018 Targa GTS Pricing

Hello all. I'm just wondering how to determine the used car prices for a 2018 911 Targa 4 GTS. There are so few that seem to be available, it's hard to get a handle on pricing. This car is available at a local Denver Porsche dealer and they are asking $138K. Original sticker on it was $170K so about 81% of MSRP. It only has 3,500 miles on it so it's in great condition with clean car fax.

It certainly seems to be in the ballpark and I've always wanted a 911 and think the Targa's are gorgeous. I'm not sure the GTS is worth the additional cost over the 4S but I do think it includes a number of options that I would look for. Just bought a new Audi A6 Allroad so this would be an add not a replacement.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I looked at a bazillion Targas for the past 4+ months before getting mine this week. I think if it’s CPO, then yeah the price is in the window depending on how loaded up it is.

My local area dealer has a 2019 Targa 4GTS with CPO with asking price of $134,900 with 6400 miles. MSRP was $161, 830.

So, you can probably negotiate a little for your 2018. Good luck.

Regardless, since there are not a gazillion Targas do not let a nice one get away for a few k. You are not the only one looking and you'll kick yourself if you lose it, as long as you like it and can swing the cost. We all like to get something for the least we can but Targas are a special breed to those that like them for what they are!

I know of 5 or so available 991.2 Targas, most are GTS. I have contacted most of them while I was shopping. One 4S just showed up in Richmond with 180 miles on it as it was part of someone’s collection so really wasn’t ever driven. Contact Justin Price at Euroclassics Porsche. He routinely posts cars in the marketplace so I know he’s on this forum.

Another data point for you: We picked up a new Targa 4GTS for 25% off a couple of months ago. Good luck with your search.

That was a good deal (depending on the spec) but an outlier for sure.
