Why Porsche didn't make all 911s with a dash like this years ago is baffling to me. I know the full leather dash is an additional option but my 2016 Cayenne interior has a two tone dash as a standard no cost option.

I loved the luxor beige interior on my 991.1 and I could never do two tone (my wife would veto). I knew about the glare before I ordered the car though. Just always had polarized sunglasses handy and it wasn't a problem.

Exactly! BMW has been doing that forever - no mater what color/material the interior the dash is always black

Well, I'm late to the party.... We just purchased this used 2014 Cayenne S with Luxor Interior.

We didn't really notice it too much on the test drive but the glare is pretty bad on sunny days like today.

Been looking at Dash covers online... The "Dash Care" one looked pretty nice.

Should we just order black to be safe or does anyone have the Matching color as Luxor but just the cover material help??

Covercraft makes custom dash covers to fit P cars perfectly, and with a few different options.

May not be ideal but it beats the "go buy some sunglasses" solution from Porsche.

As I just had my car hand washed today, another important thing is to use non-shiny leather cleaner when doing the dash.
My prior wash guy had some shiny stuff and it was hardly drivable without sunglasses for a while until it dried out.

Now I have the non-sheen Chemical Guys interior cleaner used and it gives nearly zero glare.

Could you identify the specific Chemical Guys products used?
They have several leathers cleaners and conditioners and protectants.

Sure, let me look when I get home.
I know what I personally have and use for a spruce-up in between washes, but I'm not 100% what my hand wash guy uses, but he told me he only uses Chemical Bros. stuff.

This is the one that I use in between details/hand washes. Works great on my tan leather to keep any dyes from setting in.

Thanks. The product you pointed to is a leather cleaner. I wonder if the "shiny stuff" was a leather conditioner? It seems logical to clean and then condition, but negative to that is probably that the conditioner causes the leather to be more reflective.

I will ask my detail guy what he uses to condition the dash next time he comes for a wash. And you are correct, many cleaners are also 'shiny' but this one isn't at all.

So to be clear, I take it that the Chemical Guys Leather Cleaner is good and is non-shiny.
So the remaining question is whether to follow the cleaning with a conditioner, and if so, what conditioner product is also non-shiny.
