Default Porsche Shop Near Boston (or that part of New England)...

Searched the forum, but couldn't find anything too close or near Boston...

My car is finally joining me out East. Arriving in a few weeks, thanks to Intercity Lines.

I have a set of Kline headers I'd like installed, along with brakes. Looking for recommendations on shops to handle this work (along with pre track day checks and brake flushes, once we start having them again).

I'm in Cambridge. Don't mind driving. Just want a nice, honest shop.
Was going to drive to AIM in New Jersey for this, but thought I'd post the question here first.

For warranty work, I’d recommend Porsche Norwell. For a good independent shop I’d recommend South Shore Autoworks in Kingston, MA. I’ve used Porsche Norwell and some of my Porsche friends have very good things to say about SSA.

I just re-read your post and see that you’ll be tracking your car, in which case South Shore Autoworks will be your best best. One of my clients tracks his car often and that’s where he goes for prep and swears by them.

Thanks for the suggestion WEM!

SSA seems like a good shop for the aftermarket work.
I'll keep Porsche of Norwell in mind as well.

There is also Kachel Motor Company in Lawrence, which has a very good reputation for race prep.

Check out Musante Motorsports in CT. Very happy with the service I’ve received there.

Hello to a local friend! I am also near Cambridge.

If you’re looking for an independent mechanic, Farley at Eurotech Motorsports is your best bet. He’s worked on Porsches for a very long time and he also races a GT3 as well.

If you’re doing some very serious racing modifications, Baer at Ace Performance is also extremely well-versed.

We are very fortunate to have some very well-verses and competent shops in the area.

I had my soul headers installed by Farley and would highly recommend them. They are very attentive to details.

Farley (Eurotech) has done coilovers and brakes on my past cars (W204 C63’s) as well as Brembo GT BBK and other brake work for me on my 911 as well as some exhaust work.

He also does track day prep and inspections.

And he’s a super nice guy and his fleet is very nice. Been going to him for years and he’s not close to me, but totally worth it.

I personally would never take my car to a dealership for non warranty work. They charge nearly twice the price for labor and thrice for parts.

A well sorted Indy shop like Farley’s will provided the same if not better service for a fraction of the price.

I agree with you!! but at times diagnosing certain non mechanical (sensors, electrical etc..) issues and coding are better at the dealer.

I'll give Eurotech a call once my car arrives in Cambridge! Appreciate the all the responses and input.

Looks like we a have decent group in the area; a P-Car get together will be arranged once things cool off.
