Default 3rd brake light bulb

Anyone had replaced a broken bulb on the 3rd brake light? Can't seem to find which one is used.
Is it easy to access?

All of the third brake lights are LED. I don't think you can replace a single LED.

You may have to replace the whole unit and not just a bulb. See link

LED's don't really burn out. Are you getting the third brake light error while on the freeway and the wing deployed?

If that's the case your wiring is most likely torn causing that error. I see you're in SF, happy to help you if this is the problem. pretty easy fix.

Only one of the LEDs is not lighting up. It looks somewhat like the photo below. Definitely not caused by the torn wiring. Haven't seen errors. But i usually don't deploy the wing on my own, and don't even remember when was the list time I drove the car

I'm in the east bay. Appreciate your offer, but this is something i can probably do on my own. But, I'm comfortable with getting together and helping each other to fix broken things (my hvac blower stopped working again...)

Can it be opened? Cause in the end of the day it should be just a single LED bulb. I'm comfortable with soldering electrical components. The question is if it can be opened up.

anything can be opened, I remember pulling out third brake light when doing my ducktail install. It's all snap together (no screws) so disassembly maybe tough. I bet you can get a cheap one from a dismantler or ebay taken off a totaled car

I was referring to opening in such a way, that can be closed up to original form

I opened it up, but it broke to pieces Turns out its glued together and virtually impossible to separate the lamp halves. So ordering new one.

LOL I figure this would happen. At least it's not a ridiculously expensive part.
