Default Aftermarket Radio Recommendations for 991.1

Hi, looking into replacing the PCM 3.1 on my 991.1 911 (after numerous rebooting issues) and thought i'd see if there were any recommendations for aftermarket radios. Any advice on brands or models to either look into or to avoid would be appreciated; apple CarPlay, Waze would be nice to have in a new unit.

Thanks

If it's only your PCM rebooting, give this a shot if you haven't yet:

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I my issue wasn't fixed by that procedure (I wish it had been). Doing some research, it sounds like my issue is related to the hard drive, and not willing to spend $4,000 to get a factory replacement that may end up having the same problem so looking at aftermarket options.

I would like to see some custom installs.

I've looked at the above to assist in the installation.

Has anyone used these?

I've got a Bose system so i'll need the $800 kit. I've been doing some pricing and with the kit, a Kenwood radio and adding front and rear parking cameras, would still be $1500 cheaper than replacing it with another PCM. Would be nice to get a report back from someone who's made the swap...

If this started around Memorial Day Weekend, Porsche and Sirius/XM have acknowledged the issue (but are still pointing fingers at each other). I'm willing to bet that even out of warranty Porsche will replace on their dime (and then go after S-XM if it's their fault).

Have you gone to the dealer yet? Have they said they won't replace out of warranty? If so, call PCNA.

I would go this route in your shoes: https://www.planet-9.com/threads/pcm...to-ssd.243528/

Yeah, it's been happening on mine for a year, no help getting it replaced at the dealer even though they are aware it's an issue and a service bulletin has been put out on it. Unfortunate they won't fix a known issue but that's where I'm at...
