Default Most comfortable 991

I am looking to add a 991 to my GT3
It will double as a bad weather car so C4 is a must and also a long distance car (comfort is a must)
What is the most comfortable 991 on the market ?
Base 991.1 C4 with standard suspension ?

18 ways seats with SPASM is a very comfortable ride in my opinion.

I believe that I read that the Targa has the softest suspension of the 991 cars. Perhaps someone can confirm that. I think a smaller wheel option would be helpful too (19” vs. 20”).

It would seem PDCC would increase suspension compliance, which would take you into S/GTS territory.

991.1 base Carrera or Carrera 4 did not come standard with PASM. 991.2 base Carreras all came with PASM. My recommendation would be to find a 991.1 Carrera 4 with PASM or any 991.2 Carrera 4, but either of which should have 19” wheels. The ride is noticeably better with 19” wheels on my base Carrera without PASM, but with the standard springs and shocks and with the Ohlins coil overs I installed. On a car with PASM, I imagine it must be even better. Even though PASM has slightly stiffer springs, the shock can handle it and actually makes for a more comfortably ride.

Being a large person, I find 14-way seats much more comfortable than the 18-way, especially on longer trips.

18 way seats if you are not too big along with a DSC Module with PASM on a 4 sounds like what you are looking for. 19s might be a bit better than 20s but my Targa GTS with 20s and the DSC can be quite comfy depending on the roads of course, and tire pressure is always a factor as well.

In stock form - base > PASM > SPASM for comfort. SPASM will feel like a Cadillac in comparison to your GT3.

If you are comfortable with modifications then PASM + DSC controller is the way to go of you are looking for the most "Comfortable" 991.

I am also a "big" person and love my 18 ways. This is a pretty polarizing debate... you need to try out and decide for yourself.

Comfort pressure and a DSC Module on most non GT 911's should get you a reasonable amount of comfort.

I'd go base C4, stock suspension, DSC V3 controller, 19" wheels and all-season tires with fairly low tire pressures. Sound dampen the interior door panels and rear fender liners.

Seats are a personal thing, you'd have to try the different types. I find the Sport Plus 4-way seats the most comfortable. The 18-way seats are too firm, IMO. Although, the ones I tried had ventilation and I've heard that does firm them up.

DSC won't do anything on stock suspension.

991.2 C4 on 19s, with or without DSC added, is your horse.

Great car, but rare....
