Do the PPF, at minimum the full front clip as its said. I hesitated doing it on my 1st Panamera and the nose was all chipped up in 2 summers of New England driving. Next 2 cars both had the fronts done first mod.

the r8 v10 is quite something. Drove one last summer, a cabrio, that engine is amazing.

it was a 2017 V10 coupe not plus. Only auto available for 2nd gen. Great car, engine sounded great, exhaust for amazing while the handling was as good as it can get. I sold it due to my automobile ADD. In fact, last few months I kept going back and forth with a 911 or another R8. I think I made the decision for 911 because I thought it doesn’t get as much attention and I got an incredible. Could have gone either way. I would highly recommend it.

there were a lot of 4GTS available during the shut down. I guess due to higher msrp and AWD in SoCal. I was surprised how aggressive the dealer was on the price. Downtown LA has a nice white one with red interior.

Did you find the R8 very different from the 911 in terms of comfort, ride, usability, overall fun? I know the engine sounds incredible. Just wondering as I'm actually thinking about getting a R8. But I don't want too much redundancy.

the R8 can be more comfortable than the 911 if you want it to be. I should say the R8 can do anything from daily to aggressive driving. The interior of the R8 is also nicer. But R8 is small in terms of space and trunk space. You can’t fit a small carry on in the R8. I honesty would have been happy coming back to a 911 and equally happy to a R8. In fact a CPO R8 was sold before I had a chance. But I spent the same on this brand new 4GTS which works out just well! But I have to say again R8 is a great car!

Chalk is the fastest color and GTS is definitely icing on the cake. You have good taste. Congrats! I hope to pickup an R8 someday. It would definitely make a good stable mate.

Nothing wrong at all with the PPF kits since they are made bigger to roll edges, and any pro installer will not have a problem with those. Remember though: shop the installer! I have almost 6k on my 2019 GTS and the marks on my PPF would assure you that getting it is a must, unless you don't mind paint chips. And nice car as well...Caulk is a great color.
