Default Missing Lug Wrench?

Hi All- Yes, I did a search with no results...

Bought a new to me 2017 Guards Red 991.2 start of this month and doing a shake out of everything.

When comparing what was included and what’s in owners manual, missing lug wrench, tow eye- bolt, and “wedge” that manually shifts the PDK for towing I presume. Have appointment on 1 June at dealer and want to make sure I have my facts correct...

Please advise on what I should have in “tool kit” for this model year...

Thx,
Rick

I think you might need a head light cam tool to remove headlights. This changed At some point within the 991.2 range when they went to 2 nuts under the headlights that require front bumper removal. 2019 has the 2 nuts.

Default Lug Wrench Missing?

Bob Z. Thanks, That’s a full kit that I guess came with earlier models. For my vintage it’s fix-a-flat and good luck.... There’s no spare or even a jack.... Good news is I own a 2020 Macan also, so on a long road trip, could throw the spare and all that kit in the back seat, don’t think it will fit in front... Need to verify compatibility, but first concern is making sure my Carerra S was delivered with everything that came with. So far looks like missing Towing lug and PDK Wedge...

Macan uses ‘Audi’ wheel bolt spacing. Wheel for Macan will not fit any other Porsche models.

Check inside the toolbox in case the former owner put the PDK wedge in it.

Lug wrench? Modern Porsche owners are not to touch lugs. In fact, better that you don't know what lugs are. Dealer service will take care of anything with more mechanical complexity than opening and closing the glove box.

Lol- Yes, it will be tough to not tinker when I’ve always done my own oil changes... That brings a new topic; How valuable to resale is doing all maintenance at the dealer? Couple months of factory warranty left, then 2 years of CPO, along with a concurrent 5 yr extended warranty I opted for at purchase?

IMO it depends on the buyer and the seller. Some buyers fit the new Porsche profile and only respect dealer service. Some buyers are only concerned that service was done by competent suppliers, including owners who can demonstrate expertise. With my 2017 C2 I split the difference, and have paid a dealer for bigger service milestones, but done my other oil changes and minor repairs myself. I do keep records (and receipts) for all work, including mine.

Default Tool Kit / Service Records

bkrantz - I’m of the same mind. I keep reading that Porsche designs always have a mind towards serviceability. My wife is a whole other force... It use to be I had more time than money, now money is less the issue, but either way I like wrenching on my vehicles. All work on attached, was done by me.👍

Very nice LC. I had a '67 FJ40 (and a 55 and 80). Every time I see one like yours, I feel the urge again. Kinda like my 914 project.
