Default Steering wheel type and size

Need info on what type of steering wheel I have in my 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet

I'm trying to order a custom carbon fiber one and need to know exactly what I have to place the order

From my searching I think my steering wheel comes in different sizes but I'm not sure

This is what I have

Something like my last car

Looks like you have the GT wheel, which is 360mm (I believe). Suncoast will list the measurement in the add to be sure. Am I understanding the question properly?

Yes trying to figure out what steering wheel I have, regular, sport, gt or something else. Is it the large, medium or small one

The steering wheel in the 991.2 feels smaller than the 718 Boxster for sure

So according to this info from Porsche they only have 2 steering wheel sizes

Looks like I have the GT Sport for sure

Porsche Sport Steering Wheel

Coming as standard on models like the 911 Carrera, the sport steering wheel is created to be lightweight and for maximum functionality. Derived from the 918 Spyder, Bay Area shoppers will be treated to a three-spoke design which points to the center pad where a silver trim encircles the Porsche crest. Paired with PDK, drivers will find two alloyed gearshift paddles to offer more specific shift times to optimize your Menlo Park drives.

Porsche GT Sport Steering Wheel

Delivering a motorsport look and feel, the GT sport steering wheel can be found on Porsche models like the 911 Turbo and 718 Cayman. Once you get the wheel in your hands, you’ll notice it has a smaller diameter and black finished spokes fastened with screws and trimmed in Galvano Silver. Position the GT sport steering wheel to fit your needs with the electric height and reach adjustments. Conveniently located behind the left and right spokes, drivers can control their performance with a MODE switch with SPORT Response button, along with two gearshift paddles made from an alloy.

Optional Porsche Steering Wheel Functions

Regardless of which Porsche steering wheel you choose, there are a number of features that can be added to both to increase ease, comfort, and performance. With available functions, drivers can:
  • Heat their steering wheel with a touch of a button
  • Control the onboard computer
  • Access navigation
  • Adjust the audio
  • Operate their integrated smartphone
  • Control in-dash color display

It looks like you've got the GT Sport as shown here (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/991LEAG2GT.html), which is 360mm. Converted to inches, that should be 14.17. The measurement shown above looks a little smaller, but I'm not aware of another wheel smaller than this. Perhaps others can comment.

Just curious why you need to know the exact wheel you are swapping from. If it's about the size of the plastic bits in the middle, they are all the same size. Also, I don't think there is a difference in wheels across the entire Porsche line. My custom wheel used a GT Sport base, wrapped thicker, with Macan center trim.

I wanted to make sure I didn't get a larger steering wheels from what I have now. I read some place on google that the 911 had 3 different sizes. On the Porsche site it shows only 2 but as you can see mine looks even smaller

I'm also trying to get a new steering wheel with everything on it except the airbag unit, not only for a quick install (25mins) but sometimes it's difficult to re-install the plastic pcs on the new leather. I'm trying to avoid trimming.

Now I need to check if my steering wheel is heated, (went to the car and it is heated)

I know how you feel about the oem 1x1 CF. I went with 2x2 CF with flat bottom & love it.

That looks great, 2x2 looks so much nicer than Porsche CF

I was just told I"ll lose my heat element on the steering wheel. I wonder if a warning light will go off on the dashboard?

Steering wheel takes 4 weeks

Yes I bought the full options , CF wheel , CF Center trim & CF paddles so I only need to transfer my airbag.

If your shop only sold you the wheel , you will need to transplant the airbag , Center trim & oem paddles.
