Having this creaking sound happen more and more. Sounds like it’s coming from the drivers side dash or footwell. Is this what the tank pad rattle sounds like?
Also, any recommendations how to handle it out of warranty ?
Creaking Sound
Thanks,
NM.

The way to tell if it is your tank pads: The squeak goes away when the tank is less than half full. It also becomes more audible on a full tank as the car warms up (expansion of the metal). It took me over a year to figure this out (in part, thanks to RL) and to actually demonstrate it for my Porsche SA so they could address the problem under warranty. Hope this helps.

Not sure if this is helpful at all, but my local Porsche dealer refused to actually replace the tank pads under warranty (even when my warranty was still active). What they did do for me was lubricate them, and ever since then, they've never creaked.
I honestly don't know what product they used, but I wonder if spray white lithium grease might work.

Whew, what a relief! I’m pushing 50 and thought this thread was about an adult product I might need in the not so distant future. Learn something new everyday. Anyway, back to the thread....
