Default First service of my 991

I just bought my first 911. A bucket list car for as long as I can remember. It’s a 991.1 Carrera S with 32K miles. It had PDK and few options. Looking over the car it seemed that the prior owners were not enthusiasts. I immediately took the car to a friends shop for service. Oil change reminder was on as was a Cooling System fault. Changed the oil with Motul. Found that whoever installed the Fabspeed exhaust left the vacuum hoses disconnected, so that was a nice find. Pulled air filters:

Pulled spark plugs:

While we were in there we decided to replace the belt and pullies. Should be ready to do tomorrow and give it a proper drive!

Car should be happier now that you gave it some love.

Good thing you changed those plugs. They need it.

Looks so naked.

I’m sure the plugs are the originals. The cabin air filters were original, too. Hope the oil wasn’t...
Waiting for the pulley assembly to be delivered so she can go back together.

Great that you are taking care of the car. Looks like the prior owners thought no services were required because of the mileage. Did you check the intermediate and major service reminders? I bet they are out of time. Also, you may want to do a brake fluid change service

Great car. The 9a1 platform is really tough so wouldn't worry too much about previous lack of care. You will treat it right going forward so enjoy it in good health and congrats.

Brake fluid looks surprisingly good, but will certainly flush all the brake fluid before my first track day.

Great work. Definitely do that brake fluid flush before the track day. RBF 600 works great

Well upon further inspection, the change over valves are visibly deformed. I’m ordering only 5 as I don’t need the ones for the exhaust valves, given the Fabspeed exhaust.

Think this valve is bad?

Is there a proper way to remove or bypass the exhaust change over valves. I don’t want to replace them with new since they no longer control anything, but I don’t want them to give me fault codes either. Anyone know if it’s possible?

Well, I used a couple of original style changeover valves for the do nothing exhaust valves, since they are cheaper and don’t require the pigtail adapter. And a new battery, because mine died with the car on the lift...

It was nice to get it on the road and let it rip a little. What a great sound and the PDK shifts so crisply.

Tossed in some new floor mats from Suncoast and the Rennline phone mount. Got my Sirus subscription fired up but I’ve got absolutely nowhere to go.

Just finished my service of my 2016 GTS with 19,000 on the clock. Supposed CPO but none of the filters or plugs were changed. They may have changed the engine oil but probably not the filter. I did plugs, all filters, PDK oil, wipers and a thorough cleaning. The plugs looked good but were really hard to get out to the point I thought a couple might break off. That's the biggest reason to change them IMO, so they don't seize in the hole.
