Default Bronze powder coated RS Spyder wheels w/pics

Hi All,
I had my wheels powder coated a few months ago and finally got some photos of them on the car. Not the best shots, but for anyone contemplating bronze rims, it may give you a better idea. The color is from Prismatic Powders, Gold Rubbed Bronze.
Next up with powder coating my new set of ADV1's dark metallic purple. I'm gonna just take a chance and do it!

Looks great!

I powder coated my 991.2 wheels using Prismatic's Hallister Bronze.

Thanks! Love yours too! Hallister was one I considered as well. There's almost too many choices! I was still looking at samples as I was driving to the powder coating shop! Finally I ripped off the bandaid, picked one, and hoped for the best.

Same situation with my new color. I still haven't decided 100%. Just gotta do it!

Here are mine in Bronze Chrome (just to give an idea of some of the different Prismatic colors).

Oh my gosh! Thank you for posting that! It was one in the running for my next set! Such a great mix of gold and bronze.
Just 20 min ago I settled on Iris Purple for my next set.

Yeah, I went back and forth on several different bronze options and finally settled on these. Was super happy with how they turned out, especially against my black paint. Intrigued to see how these Iris Purple turn out for you. Make sure to post photos once you have them done!

I definitely will! I wanted something different, but not obnoxious. It's dark enough it'll almost look black in some lights and the wheels are very simple, so I think they can handle a more vibrant color. Then the red calipers behind them... Should look sweet!

I was chatting with one of my local powder coating shops today and when I asked about shades he told me to pick something out from Prismatic...wow, what a selection. And I learned that they can do Gloss - anyone do that sheen and if so how does it look compared to Gloss paint?

Prismatic is what most shops use, from what I understand. As to the gloss, it'll look the same as any gloss rims you've ever seen. In fact, many of the high end wheel companies powder coat their wheels now.
My new set will be gloss, so when they're done, I'll post pics so you can see what they're like.

Had my 996TT wheels powder coated with gloss. The finish looks like perfect clear coat, zero peal. Like glass.
