was the earlier response rude or inappropriate in ANY way.. I just read it again and can't see how it could be interpreted in a rude way?

Mileage concerns on Porsche 911s ? Just drive the car, and fill up (premium) when needed!

We pay (U.S.A,) 20% of EURO's benzine/petrol prices, so where is the complaint?

Thank you very much for the information, very interesting advices, my friends. I am also interested in cars, and often find different information about each brand, and recently came across one car site fuelson.com . I found information about every favorite car brand! What consumption it has, and so on. I just want to buy a new car and think about my choice, I just buy a premium car and I would not like to buy a bad car for a lot of money, I think you understand me And so thank you so much for showing me how to improve fuel economy!

Is fuel starvation an issue with the 991.2 when cornering hard and less than 1/2 tank of fuel?

I know with my RX-7 you can get fuel starvation with sustained left hand corners. Nothing worse than the engine cutting out completely, and then coming back at 100% as you get off the gas mid corner I never let it get below 1/2 tank on track/autocross.

You can also check Fuelly, where owners can go to log there mileage.

Default Not sure .2 would be better

Worse ptw ratio off turbo and on boost burning more fuel. Im lucky if i get 19 mpg in my golf r 2.0l. The boost is fun but I find i wind it out more than an na motor

Really want to tell myself better mileage is why I need a .2 but I love the sound and paid for part of mine.
Until I got my wife a diesel X5, my 996 turbo got the best, easily 20mpg even having fun.
They should have extended range tank options on all versions, convenient to go to gas stations less often.

During my last track day, I didn't get fuel starvation until the end of my fourth session. I was down to the last gallon or so at that point. After driving to the nearest gas station--19 miles away--my 991.2 took 17.175 gallons. That's a quarter gallon more than the nominal tank capacity.

I keep track of ending odometer reading, miles driven, and MPG every month for business tax purposes, but I usually average 19-20MPG in my ~14 mile daily commute.
I can definitely hit mid/high 20s when I pay attention doing highway driving.

Also I don't think the OP is bitching/complaining about MPG... more to say, these cars are fast, awesome and badass, AND can get decent MPG in various driving conditions. Hardly something to complain about, now under the JoBama administration and premium almost doubling in the last 2 months around here.
Hell, my 991.1 N/A engine can match or outperform my 2011 Audi A4 2.0T on highway driving MPG. Not too shabby.

I'm getting like 25 from mixed highway and back roads driving on weekends, so I'm happy. Even if I were to get only say 15-20 mpg, it wouldn't worry me as this is not my daily use vehicle anyway. I have much less enjoyable vehicles which have worse fuel efficiency, and others that have better than expected. So, it's a mixed bag of cars...

Someone asked me recently what sort of mileage I got. I told them gas mileage was not a factor in deciding to buy this car!

11,34 Liter per 100 km that's 20,742027 MPG average in my past 12.789 km.

Picture-proof:

After driving 23,167 Km the average fuel consumption was 10.50 l. per 100 Km.
Maximum was 13.77 and minimum was 8.92.

No tracking; only driving on "normal" roads and highways.....
..... in the Swiss and French Alps (the roads, not the highways)

This is for a 991.2 Turbo S, mind you.
