New Member Looking for Advice on Bad PDK
I recently purchased a 2016 GTS 991.1 with the PDK with 19k miles. I had the car inspected and everything looked OK. The car drives great.
After a week of ownership the transmission is leaking fluid at the rate of about 1 cup per 30 mile drive. Is it worth putting a new PDK in the car? How hard is it to keep adding fluid? At the rate it is leaking I'd have to top it up weekly. Oviously it is out of warranty or I wouldn't be asking the question. TIA.

Thanks. That's somewhat reassuring. I've read here that it was pretty much a $16k repair. I think the warranty ended in November 2019. I guess I'll take it to the dealer, but my past experience with them (Mercedes) is that they just want to replace everything. Maybe they can diagnose and an indy can fix it. Does anyone know how much oil it holds? I've lost maybe 1/2 -3/4 quart is all because I stopped driving it. Thanks again!

As others have written. Find a good indy shop near you and have them diagnose the issue. If the trans works properly it might just need a new seal or O-ring. The repair could cost very little.

Where did you have it inspected/PPI done? Have you thought about reaching out to them, chances are the trans was leaking prior. And that would of been caught by a PPI?
Like everyone else said I would take it to a shop, Indy or dealer and see what they say, Its a wild guess at this point. But the rate of fluid you are loosing is alarming.
