Default Has anyone heard of VertexAuto? Anyone familiar with or have this rear diffuser?

I have no affiliations to this company. In one of the 991 Facebook groups recently, an owner posted a 991.1 with this rear diffuser and it piqued my interest.

There's not a lot of options in the market at the moment. I'm not a fan of the Vorsteiner diffuser because it looks too aggressive and doesn't match the flow of the car. And the OEM diffuser is just a tad boring.

But this one looks just slightly more aggressive, and I like the clean design of it. However, the product photos are quite bad, and I've never heard of the company before: https://www.vertexauto.com/porsche-9...dV_3qGjVKUJXeU

The product images in the link above looks like it's plastic, but the description claims it's carbon fiber. I kind like the plastic look -- it's a bit less flashy.

I also included some photos of this diffuser on another owner's car. It's a bit dark, but it looks quite nice!

Curious to know if anyone is familiar with this company, diffuser, fitment, quality... etc and if any owners have this on the car today!

The company picture looks like a ABS material or something.

The negative reviews on yelp is very concerning.

Yeah, looks like it's really it or miss with the shop. Nice find on the Yelp reviews.

The company photos are terrible. Cardboard box over a Porsche? Didn't even both to wipe down the photos or take the time for some better photos.

But... the other owner (who has the CF version) claims that the fitment is good. I wonder who the actual manufacturer of this product is, because it does look like ABS material in the product photos (which I like more than CF). I do really like this design

Those are some fine options. Only one I like is the RUF (which is too expensive) and the Top Car one.

Otherwise, the rest is too busy in my eyes, and doesn't flow as nicely. The aggressive ones look good if you have an aggressive wing.

I purchased some things from Vertex back in the day when I had my 944. They were pretty easy to work with, I had gotten a rebuilt power steering pump and it leaked a few days after installing it. They rushed another one to me at no charge and took the other back no questions asked.

I'm partial to the NR auto that's basically a VOR design or the Moshammer as I don't want the diffuser to extend covering exhaust..

Default vertex

Is a shop outof miami. I have had hood luck with them for parts in the past but no experience with this splitter. I think they deal with 964s and older models a lot.

Thank you for sharing this link. The mixed reviews are definitely concerning, but ultimately we are talking about 3 bad reviews in 10 years. I urge you to examine our Google reviews, which are over 100. Hopefully this gives you a better overall feedback of our company.

@BlueShell I don't see the image with cardboard boxes over a Porsche. Can you please help me find this image? I would greatly appreciate it.

Yeah -- I posted a link to the product page in the first post. You can see it here: https://www.vertexauto.com/porsche-9...dV_3qGjVKUJXeU

The product image also appears to be ABS material though the description and title claims its carbon fiber.

@BlueShell Thanks! That does look terrible! These pictures were provided by the manufacture of the part. I'll reach out and see if they have any better images. Thanks again for pointing this out.

Yeah -- some better photos, better lighting and detail shots would be helpful. Do you know off-hand how the fitment is on this product? And how far back does this diffuser go?

Agreed, first impressions go a long way.

details on where the diffuser hooks up and how far it extends to, meaning does it cover parts or most of the exhaust under the car prohibiting cooling and results in overheating.

The fitment is spot on. The diffuser goes back about 6.5" and no issues with cooling or overheating whatsoever.
The installation is rather simple. The diffuser comes with black adhesive urethane. First you clean the mounting surfaces and apply a bead of adhesive where the diffuser meets the inner part of bumper. You then position it in place and use painters masking tape to hold firmly in place for about 3-4 hours until dry. Once dried place one screw on each pointed corner and the job is complete and the car ready for use.

Here is an image of the diffuser in ABS as we currently do not have a photo in carbon, but the dimensions are identical.

Whats the price on the ABS option? I don’t see that on your site.
