Vektor Performance - Catted Muffler Delete. For the screaming tree-huggers :P
Sometimes at Vektor Performance we do things, not because it's right or wrong, but because we can. This setup is a contradiction of terms, but for some it might be exactly what they were looking for. High flow HJS cats to slow the upcoming environmental apocalypses and megaphone style tip to let those you've passed feel foolish for considering trying. Thoughts, comments, concerns or otherwise welcome

I thought long and hard about doing a staggered multi-tip similar to some of the older 911s. Cost wise, with there being so little here, it would have added quite a bit to the price tag.

I'm not expert, but I think there is no back pressure due to muffler delete?
Turbos love reduced post turbine backpressure. So the less air that has to be pushed after the turbine, the more efficient it will be. The most ideal TBE would be a short megaphone off the turbine and nothing more. Of course that would be even more obnoxious (from a sound standpoint) than this setup.
We may put it on the dyno later in the month when we have a tuner here. Right now we're limited by load limits, so plots would likely show no (or little) power gain. Although it would very likely show lower throttle position at limit and possibly a reduction in boost that same power level.

Ok, it's for 991.2. The pics of he exhaust placement looks like it was a .1, that's why I thought it was for the NA engine.
This looks interesting. My first thought is will removing the muffler cause drag or turbulence behind the rear bumper area. The oem muffler appears to have a vaned design similar to functional rear diffusers which makes me hesitant to replace it with anything else.
