Humor me, define "drivers". What makes Cayman GT4 "drivers" different from 991 "drivers"?

First hot take: moderate to heavy track/DE. That's where it makes more sense to have a GT car. Otherwise you're just posing

Second hot take: A base 991 is more interesting to drive in canyons/back roads.

that’s what I’m saying, there isn’t a difference. You either drive with the sense that Porsche cars offer driving characteristics that other cars don’t give, versus the other people that drive them for the symbol. That’s my only point. So when I hear the cayman GT4 is just a cayman, it’s still a GT car too. Many people have traded their 911 for a GT4. They are not different people at all. Now, the new 992 models took a big step forward in overall performance, even the base 911. I drove two models and was very impressed with everything about it.

My current car is a 2019 T with 20,500 miles. MSRP was $122k, bought for $116k. It’s Guards Red, 7MT, RWS, 18 ways with sunroof delete. It’s also specced to my liking with full leather, red stitching and red belts, and also has full PPF.

I’m being offered $84k for the car when I trade in in June, provided the dealer doesn’t have to change the brakes for CPO.

My build of the GT4 comes to approximately $114k. (4 ways and irons)

Delta: -$30k

Cons:
-Lose $30k
-No rear seats/storage space
-No 911 prestige/looks (I think the 991.2T looks amazing)
-No instant torque
-Long gears on GT4, though apparently new engine is plenty torquey and this is less of an issue

Pros:
-NA 4.0 9A2 with 8k Redline
-6MT that’s supposedly the best
-Midengine platform
-Lighter, smaller, more nimble
-GT suspension and handling
What do you guys think? Worth it?
Point by point:
By the time you get it you won't lose $30k. It's already depreciated that much by then;
718 has more trunk space. 911 has added weight and higher center of gravity effect from rear seats;
911 T has no wing. GT4 wins back there in looks;
Instant torque? Both models need to be cruising above 3000 rpm for decent response. The 3.00 tt has good response from 3500 rpm while the 4.0 has good response from 4000;
Gearing? Get PDK if gearing and instant shifting are valued - uch faster, overall in either model;
Midengine platform
-Lighter, smaller, more nimble
-GT suspension and handling
All good, if you like the somewhat smaller cockpit.

I'm driving 2017 C2S Endurance Racing Edition with X51 PowerKit and am loving it. Good for 7:24 on the Nordschleife with PDK. 718 GT4 4.0 is at 7:28 versus 7:42 for the 981 GT4 3.8 (both Manual). 911T 3.0 tt with manual is going to be slower.
For me, I love hard-core Porsches with wings. The new 718 GT4 4.0 is very attractive, but at a price 2-3 years out, when better buys are available.
Hopefully the PDK that is said to be coming on the 718 GTS makes its way into the GT4. It is so much faster that it is a must, for maximum performance. The 718 GT4 4.0 would be closer to 7:20 on the Nordschleife with PDK.
