Could be, but not definitive.
PEC cars are driven and cared for.
That is supposed to be what these cars are made for....think about it.

Birmingham PTX fleet cars do have 10k miles on them, I drove a GTS there (main model used) over that total.

From my experience, no Carreras have been recently used at PTX, they do use them at Atlanta for sure. A 992 Carrera was being prepped for PTX use in November, so Carreras will be there this year.

Someone else mentioned that these cars were cared for, Porsche isn't going to assume additional liability by shorting the maintenance, however, PEC cars are driven hard and launch controlled daily any number times, 300 miles per a set of tires, what would you think the wear rate is on these cars?

Is it MT? Have it checked for over-revs. That might help to confirm or deny PEC history.

it is, but no telling if clutch was replaced, possibly even the motor, etc
Motor was in fact replaced for the 2nd car mentioned in my post.

Default sure

I mean its the equivelant and marrying a stripper or base jumping. What could go wrong. I imagine the vehicle has been red lined thousands of times but why worry about that ?

I would for the right price. Assuming DME is clear and it passes a PPI. I don't see the listing on the Carmax website, so not sure what they're asking for it.

FWIW, somebody else on Rennlist was looking at buying this exact car a few months ago. https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1153611-advice-on-maybe-buying-this-cpo-2015-carrera-s.html.
It was CPO then, it wouldn't be anymore since it's going through Carmax.

Carmax removes the listing once the car is placed on hold.

They provided a link for me
though: $78k plus CarMax warranty, not sure what that would cost yet.

Price seems high. There are plenty of .1 S/4S way under that price without the story.

Wow, you're right. I just looked through all of the cheap .1 cars and the specs are not good.

Are you sticking to .1 cars or is .2 a possibility as well?

I’d like to stick with NA for the time being.

I spent a few days at PEC in Atlanta with my son last November and we drove those cars like they are made to be driven. Regardless, no way would I ever knowingly buy one unless there was a huge discount.
