She passed away soon after but at least she got one ride. I say go for it.
Great picture.
Funny, as I'm searching for used 991s, I immediately exclude white interior, to be more dog-endurable.
I'm thinking for road trips I'd pad the back seats for comfort, but frankly as soon as I get out of a car (even just to let her out), she's jumping on both front seats. I just dont want to fight the nature of an active black dog vs white interior.
Here's Maya in our 991.2 GTS. She goes on longer trips with us and is real comfortable back there. She's pretty small so it works easily with our car. I used blankets and a little foam to give her a flat soft platform.
This is an awesome thread, I love to see dogs enjoying a 911, particularly medium and larger breeds. I was considering doing a road trip from Michigan to Florida in my 991 C2S with my 54lbs Labrador, Holly, but instead decided to put the car on a transporter and Holly flew down with me. She loves car rides but is accustomed to riding in a GMC Yukon or the backseat of my A8L with an Orvis seat protector that clips around 4 headrests and covers the backseat, like a hammock. I didn't think I could create a space comfortable for her in the 911. It is incredible seeing what can be done with some foam, blankets, and creativity! I think Holly and I will have to get the 911 sorted out on some short trips then go for the big road trip spring/summer when I bring the car back north. This thread is a great resource hopefully I'll have some pictures of Holly motoring with me in the 911 to share soon.
I just land up using large bath sheets - they're easier to clean and fold up to a nice soft surface...
The LargePuppy and I are going to be driving to Tail of the Dragon this summer for the big gathering in June.... beautiful weather in a 911, driving with my bestie... it's a dream come true!
