Sprint Booster review on 991.2

I currently use a Sprint Booster on my daily driver (2020 4runner) and love it. Works as designed and does very much change the response of the vehicle. The post above dismissing this is just wrong. The SB also has 20 different setting from a little extra throttle response to a lot of response.. Red 7 for me.

You’re comparing the application on a large suv vs a premium sports car that already has sensitive throttle mapping integrated into “Sport” mode.

I have hated drive by wire since they started using it. Many of you have probably never driven a car without it and are used to it, I will never get used to it. I have one on every car that I own (that they make one for) and yes I have the cobb tune on my Targa, but I still have throttle booster There are quite a few types out now and I have different ones in different cars. Some can even be hidden (newest pedal commander which is in my M550i sedan) and I use an app to control it. This is one of those, you either like it or you don't products, and if car engineers as you call them really had the final decisions about how a car should behave, you would see very different products then you see now. I have had many discussions with engineers over the years and what they want to do, and what they are allowed to do are two very different things entirely.

I ordered it because I would like to remove the heaviness my pedal has while in normal mode, I don't track the car.
And I like the other features like valet mode when going out to dinner and valet is a must

Been raining here in central Florida, last night at 1am I installed the Sprint Booster.
Install was very easy, about 15 to 20mins total. Hardest part was me being so big trying to fit under the dash, really
Will test on next dry day

Brings back fond memories of learning to drive in my mom's '75 Malibu. I think GM used to map 90% of the throttle opening to the first 5% of pedal travel....

Throttle remappers are snake oil.
All you are doing is reducing the useful granularity of your throttle pedal, literally making the vehicle more difficult to drive smoothly.

Had a tune on my C63, and they also re-mapped the throttle. Made it very annoying to drive. Feathering the throttle corner to step it out, and then keep in a drift (on a track or in the snow) was virtually impossible.
Asked the tuner to return the throttle mapping to stock (which they did), and the car was much easier to drive on the edge. Keeping the car sliding around a corner in a controlled manner, or keeping the car just at the limit of traction was much easier.
If I need more throttle, I just apply more throttle.
That being said, my E63 is mapped as if it is a Jeep and I am expected to use it to crawl over rocks. hahaha

I have no concerns with the throttle mapping of the 991.2.
I expressed my concerns with a tune changing the mapping on my C3, and the reason why I prefer a linear connection between the throttle and response.
I think my E63 may benefit from a sprint booster
