Default Base 991.2 Max hp stock block?

Hello folks,

With APR recently out with E85 tune that is making 500 hp and over 500 ft*lbs. of torque, curious to see what the maximum torque this motor can handle? I've read PDK will start to slip at around 550 ft*lbs of torque, but how about the motor? I see that the 3.0L has forged rods and pistons. Based on 30+ cars I've modified in the past, I'm assuming a rule of thumb of 100 ft*lbs / rod, so 600 ft*lbs at the crank as its "yield pooint" and thus low 500's to be on the safe side?

I know it's too soon to tell, but my RS3 came out around the same time frame and have immediately found the limit to be around 550 ft*lbs. and the rod is actually not forged either (literally same rod as Golf R, just one more).

PDK with the stock calibration seems to be ~ 500-550 wtq. Through tuning it is possible to slightly raise the adaptive clamping pressure on the clutches.
Our Car with the TIAL M660 has put down 600.4 whp at World Motorsports with a Mitch / Cobb Tune.

Gintani has a car running the TiAL turbos to 30 psi + and well over 650 whp on E85.

APR is just getting started, and they are doing a full engineering ground up tune / data based approach.

Power will continue to go up as tuners learn more.

I have a MT, but has anyone seen cooling issues running up the HP/TQ on these base cars?
Honestly, my car is plenty fast for my needs, but the almost free (sub $2k for 100HP) is still tempting.

That is insane in the membrane! Any reported engine failures directly related to tune or high torque? Would love to get my hands on material and physical specs of the rods and pistons and compare to other motors. I think I read somewhere that it's closed deck too! 30 psi + on stock head gasket?

Spirited run 3-4 times with upgraded intercooler, temp is around 210-225 when it's 70F outside. That's stage 1 tune @440whp.

No issues here but I have the center (third) radiator on my setup. Even before that, nothing that I could see as a problem (but my car has not seen the track yet).

Thanks. I just sent a PM to APR before I found these. Curious to see what they have to say. Don't really want to do too much to the car since it's probably already more HP/TQ than I need for my driving style.
