On a used Porsche - when in doubt...walk away
A car like this - it's hard to tell. A PPI is only going to tell you so much. It only has 10,000 miles, but I'd bet those were some *hard* miles.
I'd only consider it if the deal was too good to pass up. Doesn't seem to be the case here.

agreed
I had to reflect on this. I would not buy a pcar from a non pcar dealer. I would however rather buy a pcar from an individual than a dealer at all.
[QUOTE=scr1244;16356407]First of all this P car is not a commercial vehicle, it’s a dealership owned car and the ownership count is in limbo. However nice cars don’t spend 8 months in inventory for a couple of reasons. They are priced too high or they have issues. Doesn’t sound like it’s at a P dealer. I would rather buy a 25K mile 911 from a P dealer with CPO than a 10K mile, no factory warranty, bad tires, warped door panels, and God forbid after market wheels. What a nightmare. Run away. My door panels were just replaced under CPO and the dealer told me the warranty claim was almost $5000. You can do much better. Keep shopping.[/QU

Here is one to consider and I am sure you could get it for less than the asking price: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...carrera-s.html

Thank you very much you guy's I honestly do not know much about cars, and you probably saved me from a very bad potential purchase. I'm also looking into M4 bmw's but as you all know there is something special about 911's that is borderline intoxicating. I've been looking at cars for over a year and a half and finally have the financial means to get a car around 60k, so I'm a little excited and have to run my potential purchases past intellegent people such as your self's so I don't make a hasty decision.

I flew my wife out to Utah to pick up a used Porsche from the branded dealer and it was completely misrepresented. Carbon fiber trim on the dash would lay flat under the heat of the sun in the pictures they took, but after it cooled down it curled like a pretzel. And though I asked very pointed questions it was obvious that the car lived much of its life outside, and the salesman lied to me. Looking back I have very little respect for them.
Bought my 2015 GTS from an Armenian-owned dealer in Glendale CA where my radar was on high alert. I was ready for the bullsh*t. These guys are amazing. Future Auto Sales. https://www.fas4cars.com/ Their honesty was amazing. They found that my trade in had a weeping engine seal and I should have had it fixed under my extended warranty but didn't know. They did it for the next buyer and it was an expensive repair. This place has earned a good reputation.

they are all slimy
I had an equally bad experience with Rosslyns pcar dealer in NY on a cpo with 5k miles. The salesman lied and the sales manager offered to fix half the problem. Pcna chipped in $500 but I still had to absorb 10 to 15 hours in lost time dealing with their crap. Glad you found someone honest. I have never had a bad experience buying from an individual and it seems like a lot of dealers are crooks.
