It was a nice day here yesterday and after lunch I watched a video of the first get together of the New Year in Japan at a rest area - lots of Lambos, Ferraris, and a couple Porsches. When they left they would take off and everyone was standing around watching, just as they do here except half of the spectators had paint masks on. I had planned to take the Harley out to run few errands after my walk on beach but after watching the video I had to take the Targa.
I have to say that I am quite happy with the Stage 1 overall. First gear acceleration is still not what I expected, even in Sport + but maybe I was expecting too much. Otherwise though, in gears 2 - 5, the acceleration is fantastic and it pulls very hard. My plan was to stick with Stage 1 for a about 500 miles and swap maps to Stage 2, which I still might do eventually, but for now I am content with Stage 1. I was not going to mention it but I probably should in case someone else experiences it as well - the first couple of times out the car sputtered a couple times in 2nd when coming back on the gas but I guess it was still learning/adjusting since it did not do it at all yesterday, and I tried to duplicate it. And I am running Shell VPower (93) gas.
As a suggestion to Cobb, it would be nice to see if you could incorporate a couple features in a subsequent update, which would make your tune stand out from the others. For example, I would like to see it remember the last mode when the car is started. I always run Sport mode and it would be nice to have the car start in that mode. Also, for others mostly, disable *** (auto start/stop) when not in Sport/Sport +.
Since I had a Cobb tune on a past car (daily driver Focus ST) that I was very satisfied with I hoped I would be just as happy with their tune this time, and so far I can say that I am.

Could be, maybe I will try it with the nannies off albeit I will probably wind up with the opposite problem. I have never logged anything and am not sure how to....not a techy guy by any means and I do not even own a smart phone.

Bob,
I dont have a tune (yet), but wonder if the underwhelming first gear pull is part of the tune curve. Granted the curve below is not a GTS, but the tune has no appreciable difference up to ~ 2500 rpm from stock. I suspect the gear shift to 2nd is about there and the power of the tune can be felt. Using launch puts the rpm in the meat of the power, so you get full benefit (and likely wheel spin from what I read).
Thanks for giving us your tune feedback. Always helpful.

Very strong pull in 3 & 4, enough to plant your head back with ease, and 2-4 are where I feel it is most noticeable.

anybody know of any major expensive problems caused by a tune?

Sound like the best gears to gain power in. I am just so chicken about doing an ECU mod. Can I afford an out of warranty issue, yes, but I would never here the end of it from my wife if a car I wrote a check for more than 100k has a major issue that was not covered.

Has anyone logged there new tunes yet? Im curious to see what a wide open pull log looks like. Feeling the power is great. But Id like to see how happy the motor is making that power.

Bob I changed GIAC maps on my T once, and it did not feel right even though it improved after a couple days. Initially i was like “wtf this is like stock gimme my tune back”. It was either because i had an error during the flash or the specific map sucked. I had them put a different map and the car was an animal after 2 pulls. Animal.
I believe cobb dialed alot of juice out of the current maps on the base (as they should, i would not personally run v103 or earlier). Not sure how the GTS calibrations are. But it might be worth a shot reinstalling or switching maps

I am not sure which version I have albeit I know it was the latest as mine was in the first batch that went out when they cracked the ECU - maybe Cobb will chime in here.
Damn Ravens better get their *hit together, and soon.
