I am working on it - Soul cats and headers do increase volume and have more louder pops and cracks you hear for sure.

At idle the car is noticeable deeper and has a little bit of a grumble vs stock. What you notice is that this is apparent with or without PSE activated. The big difference and where you hear it most would be after 3,500 rpm. Due to more air and less restrictions you can hear the Porsche engine wake up and “wail” more.

The performance aspect is the definitely where you get your money’s worth!!! Crazy - but you really feel the increase and mostly the urgency of the car has picked up greatly below 60mph. I came from a GT350r and what I missed the most was the torque and bottom end power. I gained some of this back but the best comparison is you feel a little bit of slingshot affect now - love this this the most!

There has been a few times that I wished for more aggressive sound and volume but then other times I am super happy that it’s not louder than what it already is. I might still go with the exhaust so get the whole experience but waiting to let this settle in some to make that call. It’s gotten a little more robust in sound and louder over the last few days as I suspect the cats are getting acclimated to my style of driving and packing in tightly so that’s a plus!

Overall:
1. Performance is a 10 out 10
2. Sound volume is a 6 out of 10
3. Sound quality is a 10
4. Quality of product is a 10
5. Customer service and John is a 11 (13 if I get an exhaust for 1/2 off j/k!)

I don’t have any thing bad to say about any of the companies (Fabspeed, Kline and representing vendors). In fact there were some competitors who took their time to reach out and offer help to me here on Rennlist which shows how great all the vendors/companies and support are here. People who work on these cars are typically Porsche owners and enthusiasts also at heart - much respect!
I had already committed to John at Soul and would not turn back after that so I am glad that I did and they really rolled out the red carpet!

Anyone on the fence and worried about being too loud but needs some increase to the factory set up - this is it for sure! No drone, big difference in seat of the pants power and performance while not pissing off the wife and neighbors.

Well... I am at it again. I loved my power increase but wanted more volume and ended up buying the Soul exhaust to go with the long tube headers/sport cats.

will report back to everyone once installed.

Hey all -
Sorry I have been a little preoccupied lately. Well - the sound and exhaust has held up great! Still no drone and in fact still seems to have the same aggressive tone from day one. Probably a must do for people who want to really hear the car wake up and sing. It does get a little more full sounding after 200-300 miles (all in a good way). Love that I can shut it off and it’s literally silent when I have my wife in the car.
I would say this would be way better than the AWE for sure in my opinion after hearing both in person - but if you go all out maybe also consider the Acrapovic System (expensive but it’s top notch on a 991.1)!

The only wear I show are the Carbon tips - there is a black paint behind them and it’s steady flaked off. I need to get with Soul to have fixed and I did bring to their attention 6 months ago. I tired to spray paint some of it with high temp spray but it didn’t last. That’s the only issue. If you want to go over anything else ; send me a PM and we can talk.

I realized that i did not give anyone a real idea of the sound once the whole package is on there….

The car is completely alive when you add the exhaust components to complete the system. Its hard to even compare what it sounds like now vs. just the sport cats and headers. Don’t get me wrong - if you are looking for a mild experience that when you have the throttle wide open you want more volume vs. the PSE - go with the first option. Its clean and its much tamer. People will know something is modified and you will notice it but with the full exhaust its much louder. If you are like you will be wondering how much better and more volume would it really be with the whole exhaust installed and was the reason I ended up doing it. Very happy!

Here is the best example. When I had Porsche install the first part (cats and headers) they pulled the car around for me and was like - yeah man, it’s definitely sounding alive now. A few people looked over but it was not a bid deal.

When i went back to pick her up after the exhaust was installed - the service manager (Chad Zarnow) took me to the car and everyone in the service area was telling me that it sounded awesome. When I walked up to it and he started it, I was taken back….then he revved it a few times and I was like that is not the same vehicle. When I test drove it, I was laughing it really was that different and the pops, cracks and everything was crazy. Here is when I lost my mind and called John from Soul - I turned it off from the PSE button and it was virtually quiet. In fact, sounded softer than I remember from stock…(I doubt this but I was just doing pulls up to redline a few minutes ago).

My buddy who has a gt350 wanted to go to a car show together and commented when we were on the highway that it was the most aggressive sounding Porsche he could remember. This was a compliment as we both have had many different cars all modified. Granted we both were driving very spirited and he asked me to drive by him a few times at WOT.

Wait till you hear the car just sitting at idle when its warm and the exhaust is open. Deep and mean!

My comment to all is that if you have a chance to hear it in person, you have to hear it to believe it. And please find a tunnel or underpass, bridge or something because it really sounds like a GT3 on a track when you have the throttle wide open and going through an area that resonates.

MUST HAVE!

Contact John Gaydos on the forum or go direct to Soul’s website. In my opinion if you contact John you will have the best customer experience and also best deal possible.

I did Soul and love it. I have the sport cats as well. No drone and great sound. Not too much louder in the cabin below 3k but once you start getting up in the rev band it really sings. Outside you defiantly hear me coming and cold start is awesome. I don’t have the PSE so I needed something since the base exhaust tone was pathetic.
