I have been searching and watching hours of footage on YouTube. I checked the threads here also.

I am considering two options.

1. Soul sport cats and long tube headers
reasoning: more power and performance - less noise and drone

2. Awe full exhaust
reasoning: tried and true version for 991.1 with some slight performance and reduced weight. Many shops including local advise this is the option to go with.
Much louder and likely a little drone.


Does anyone have some real world advice on my platform? I want the best of both worlds! Loud and aggressive when I am alone and cruising and tame/docile when In town on phone or with wife.

Your advice is appreciated!

AWE is just loud but there are louder valved exhausts and most have better tone. Soul is well liked here - for the price.

I went iPE and considered Kline. Have not looked back. 5 years later and I still know I made the right choice.

 

You should have a look at Frequency Intelligence, FI exhaust. That’s who I went with and I love it. Very unique and distinct sound. I’ve gotten many compliments on the sound. It’s slightly louder than stock with the valves closed and absolutely screams up top at full throttle. Another option to look at.

I paired the PSE with Fabspeed Sport Headers ,200-cell HJS HD catalytic converters. No Drone, nice growl and pops.
I am very happy with this set up.

 

Get fister mufflers and the fabspeed center pipe. It’s perfect. Zero drone but sounds insane when you’re on it. Amazing burbles on decel in sport mode too.

Kline not mentioned as much on here but it deserves a look....best of all worlds but a little more spendy which may knock it out of consideration

If you’re going full exhaust and headers, why would you ever kill the center muffler? You’re just asking for drone.

What about Tubi with headers? Gotta be a better tone/less drone. Or try Akrapovic. Seems to me those are the best full exhausts on the market, period

 

We had Akrapovic on our 991.1 C2S and it was absolutely awesome and the best on the market but also the most expensive w an MSRP of $9729

Thanks to everyone that has been chiming in to help me here.
I think the Akra system is too much and out of my budget. I was hoping to be installed less than 4K on my car.

That probably narrows the field considerably but that Kline is a thing of beauty! Really have not seen much at all on the Tubi but saw a couple new videos today on the Frequency intelligence and the IPE one.

 

Consider whether you want more power or just sound. I don’t have experience with cats, but if you’re going cat back, DO NOT go with an x-pipe. You will just get drone. Also, no cat back exhaust increases power. Anyone claiming otherwise is dumb or lying

 

 

I did Fister side mufflers with Fabspeed X pipe in place of third muffler = no drone on a 991.1 S. Great sound and great value. All other brands listed in this thread are excellent choices as well. It usually comes down to your personal preference and budget.
