You may want to ask your insurance company. I know mine uses a third party to run diminished value report and provides them free of charge for their members. I had significant water damage on a previous car due to clogged and poorly maintained road drainage systems by the city. I recovered a substantial amount with the report that was provided by my insurance company. No lawyer needed but this was a different situation than yours. Good luck and sorry to hear this.

Bumpers don't cost that much, buy a new one, have it painted and install it yourself. I did that to a Boxster and told the guy that bought it, he was actually happy it had a new bumper considering the car had over 100k miles he saw it as a win since it had no minor dings in it from years of daily driving.

50% of actual repair cost is typically what you can get from an insurance company for diminished value. Beyond that is tough to get, so get it repaired right by a Porsche Authorized repair shop, with all OEM parts.

Good luck. You should be able to get some DV compensation, but it might take some perseverance.

Another suggestion: get lots of photos, including when the shop removes the bumper cover. Assuming little or no structural damage, a future private buyer will want to see that.
