So I have a 997 but bought a custom rewrapped steering wheel and bought all the trim pieces to my preference. I got all the pieces together, but now realize that I am missing a piece. It is the metal bracket that goes between the steering wheel and the back of the airbag unit. I will post pics

my understanding is that the 991.2, Macan, newer cayanne, newer boxster and Caymens share the same or similar steering wheel parts.

I have searched all over the web and the Porsche parts sights and can’t seem to find it anywhere. I have also typed in the numbers on the pic that I do have but the complete steering wheel pulls up and not the specific part.

I know many of you are much smarter than I, so any help would be much appreciated. (I’ll include a couple pics of the wheel and trim I got as well, really like the way it turned out. Going on a Guards Red 997).

@rodH - Is it this? (I did the search for a 2011 997 on www.getporscheparts.com). If not - they have exceptional customer service! Check with them.

yes, similar but this is for a 997. The new wheel I have is for 991.2. So it is specific to that steering wheel.
