Default What is this thing?

Hi. I thought I posted this, but it doesn't seem to have made it.

I was clearing debris from my 2016 991.1 GTS from the wheel wells and undercarriage when I noticed this small plastic/rubber tube sticking out of a small aperture from under the car. It's located just behind the front passenger wheel well and in front of the front passenger jack point. Nothing similar on the other side. There's nothing leaking from it, and there are no warning lights on in the car.

Any thoughts on what this is?

Thanks in advance.

For reference, the front passenger wheel is at the top of the pic, the passenger door is to the right of the pic, the front passenger jack point is at the bottom of the pic, and the undercarriage is to the left.

I thought it might drain water from the windshield/hood area, but when I poured water down there, nothing came out of the tube.

It could be the AC condensate drain.

Yes! I poured water on the sunroof, down the windshield, turned on the AC, etc. I poured water into that little hole at the gas cap, and it is indeed the fuel overflow drain. Thanks subshooter!

Question is, why does this trying stick out so far from the car?

Man. I'm having trouble posting threads and replies. Anyhow, it is indeed the fuel overflow!

Why does it stick out so far from the undercarriage?

Fuel filler compartment overflow drain. Any over filled gasoline spill is deposited directly on the ground, not in the car.
