991.1, what next?

I read your post in ferrarichat when you bought the 458. I think you should view the two cars as separate and distinct each serving it’s own purpose. The 911 as your daily driver - capable, reliable, low on the radar, and low cost of maintenance. The 458 as your weekend car providing all of the exhilaration that you are looking for. Two different cars for each separate purpose so they don’t have to be the same. I have a 2019 991.2 C4GTS and a 2018 488GTS and that’s how I think of it.

97supratt: what is the Stage 2 you are referring to?

I am guessing he means a tune, some sort of exhaust and filters/intake. That combination really does wake up the 991.1 cars. My headers/high flow cats alone provided big gains across the entire power band, noticeable too, which was a first for me on a NA car.

Enjoy them both - each in its own way. A GT3RS would be closer to the 458 but then you have a decision to make every time you go into your garage, which car are you going to drive? Congrats on your ideal NA setup.

No offense, but the last thing I would get. I can't stop associating corvettes with old grumpy men with cowboy hats. At least that's the type of folks you see driving them here

Not necessarily faster but the Lexus LC500 may be a great daily.

The C4S Cab is one of the heavier 991.1's out there but you do have the ability to increase its performance, if you so choose.
Being your daily driver, I'm not sure how much more speed you need to "feel" fast.
There are countless options available to you to improve the performance of your 991 N/A.
I would look into those options before walking away from a more than capable car.
Best of luck.

If you're considering going turbo, then go Turbo! 991.2 TT or TTS would be perfect.

Check out Soul or Duodon headers, along with a specialized tune. Should be worth about 22hp with the right setup (catless) or a bit less with high-flow cats. It doesn't make the car into a world-beater like a 991.2 S or GTS, but it does add 5% and feel significantly faster. My Cayman S 981 was making 330 hp without the tune and now 355 with, should be 370 with catless headers. The car already feels almost on par with a 911 acceleration-wise now! Granted, it is significantly lighter, but I was surprised how much a tune adds above 4500 rpm. The power really builds now and feels like the 3.8.
