991.1, what next?
Hi,
I have a 991.1 4s cab, but thinking whether I should trade it in for a 991.2 or 992. Should I or will I miss the NA engine?
Reason why is because I recently bought a Ferrari 458 spider and now my 991.1 feels so slow and tired that I want something that at least feels slightly similar in acceleration. However, I'm a big fan of the NA engine.
Advice please from those who made this shift.
Cheers

Keep the dependable 991.1 to drive when the Ferrari is on the back of a roll back heading to get fixed.

I prefer turbocharged over normally aspirated but that is just me. You should probable drive a 991.2 or 992 and see what you think.

I prefer the 991.2, better engine, more power, more efficient and better technology. I just feel like it drives better. Just MHO.
That being said, why do you want to trade a 991.1 4S cab? I think if you drive the 991.2, you'll see the difference. The question is: is it enough difference for you to trade it yours?
BTW: did not regret the shift.

458 is my attainable dream car! I would love to keep my 991.1 C2S manual and have the flappy paddle 458. I think the contrast would make for a great pairing.
How are you liking your 458 in comparison to your 991?

To summarize, and I'm not exaggerating, my 991 feels like any bmw now compared to my 458.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't buy it to get attention from others, I bought it because it was a dream car and I felt the time was ready to try it. But all these things together just makes it a very different car.
Having all this said, my porsche feels like a stable volvo, and is a very nice car to drive on daily basis during summer so I'm keeping it, or trading it for a 991.2/992 depending on how they feel.
Reason why I was looking for a faster car was mainly because my 991.1 feels like a slow volvo compared to the 458...

Love the 458, hope to own one some day.

See if you can find a 991.1 GTS. But, I think a 991.1 GT3 with the regular seats can be just fine for a daily. I know what you are talking about. I love driving a NA car, it feels raw, planted and sounds amazing. Then again, keep the 4S as your daily, why not. Nothing will come close to the 458 in regards to acceleration and feel, unless you start looking at Turbo and .2 models.

The 991.1 is amazing imo. The n/a engine is what attracted me to it. Stage 2 is what you want, with a great sounding exhaust. A stock 991.1 is a bit slow but stage 2 is very quick. The 991.2 is turbo so it’s very different.
