Had my C2 for a whopping whole week now, here are my thoughts. Put Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires on, made a big difference in road noise and reduced some (not all)
of the harshness from suspension/wheels. Driven on smooth roads I have zero complaints about the ride quality, however driven on bumpy irregular surfaced roads which we have quite a bit here in rural Va the ride is super choppy, in fact I have to slow down a lot just to make it tolerable. With all that being said I absolutely love this car, hoping the experts here can guide me on fixing the ride quality without having to get a car with PASM!
The Bullitt is a pig comparatively as far as steering and handling goes. Granted it was 35 and I had Summer tires on the Bullitt. The Bullitt sticks with the Michelin PS4’s tho, it just now seems nose heavy and seemed to need constant corrections through a curve and the steering felt wooden. Sound wise the V8 just sounds better, it just does, I have PSE on my 911 and it drones, maybe I can ask for help with this as well, I mentioned in my last thread I may opt for the Soul Performance system but it’s pricey as they all seem to be. Only other complaint is there is a small pressure point on the bottom of the seat on the door side which I feel when taking a right hand curve, but other than that the 14 way seats seem to fit perfectly. The Sport steering Wheel is nice and meaty, still learning to drive with the rear engine dynamics but it’s fairly intuitive, shifter is perfectly placed and just the right amount of notchy, the shifter is Bullitt is actually smoother tho. In fact I think Ford has a great drivetrain but it’s the chassis that can’t measure up. So in a nutshell I’m already addicted and the 911 is a keeper and that’s saying a lot since I go through a few a year looking for the holy grail, I’m very close with this one, just need the suspension/wheel choppiness addressed and possibly a better exhaust, hopefully one that adds performance and just not sound. Love the engine, around 3800 it just seems to come alive and pull all the way to redline . I did also own a Shelby GT350 which revved to the moon, I sold it however because it just felt sterile around curves whereas the 911 feels like a sports car which is what I’ve been looking for...............
thoughts, advice for a newbie 911 owner? Do I need to change shocks, springs, maybe 18” wheels, prefer not to spend a fortune, although I can feel a little modding madness creeping in, but I’m a newbie what do I know! BTW, Ferry Porsche had a beloved Airedale, I own one too his name is Charlie and I wouldn’t take a million bucks for him

What are your tire pressures? If you go by what's on the door you'll rattle your teeth out. Try the Comfort Pressures as spec'd in the owner's manual. For 20"ers it's 31 front, 34 rear. That might help a bit.
Great car, congrats! I just picked up mine last night, in the rain, this morning it is raining, both test drives in the rain.
I plan to hold off on mods for now and experience it.
I asked tire installer to set 30/33 on tires, just went out and checked they were 36/45, idiots! Lol
That always happens! The comfort setting per the owners manual is the way to go unless you have 4 people, luggage, and a smooth section of the autobahn with no speed limit.
