What’s a realistic amount (%) to pay below asking price from a dealer for a CPO 911?

There is a dealer in Boston with a non negotiable pricing policy on used cars. They price their cars at or below market value and reduce them slightly over time until they sell. Lots of other used car dealers in the area do the same. (Porsche and non Porsche). No dealers are over pricing and then discounting heavily. Your locale may be different. That's why there's no accurate answer to your question.

How much the dealer is willing to take off the sticker price is completely irrelevant. If you understand the market of the car your are shopping for, you will know if the car is high, low or just right, and when to buy or when to walk.
If you don't know the market, and aren't willing to put in the research to understand it, than you aren't going to get the best deal.

When I bought my GTS two months ago, the dealer (non-Porsche) would not lower the price. A couple factors played into that :
1. The car had only been on the lot for a couple weeks
2. There was strong interest
I knew what KBB was. It was CPO and well-optioned. I negotiated with my trade instead of on the sale price. It also helped I was trading a BMW to a BMW dealer, so I was able to maximize my trade-in's price on all levels.
Point being... Know the market, understand what you're buying and where it stands in the market, and you won't go wrong.

And it's always gonna be this story, so I agree... If it's the right one...Buy it, drive it, and you WILL love it!

Away from the coasts - Big cities or dealer with lots of inventory or that move a lot of these cars I would avoid for starters. Also my statement was off of the asking price. There are a lot of variables still, however it is what I would aim for. Not everytime will you be getting 15% off sticker... or 10% off. You need to also use some common sense here, his question was pretty general, with little info outside of asking price and car is CPO'd. If the car just arrived on the lot, and its priced fair or aggressively than you cant expect a 10k discount. If the car is above market, sitting for months, then you have some bargaining power.
I mean we are in a very small ballpark, are we not? 90K v 93K? If you were a dealer and you are making money on a @ $90k sale and have a solid offer in front of you, would you turn it down? I get where you're coming from, same can be said on the buyer side, if it ticks all of your expectations and you offer 90 but they wont budget from 93, would you just buy it? I know I would if its the car that I wanted...

Just looking at the online inventory of CPO 911s across the country (through the official Porsche website) and am curious what I can realistically expect to pay below asking price. What kind of margin are they typically working with on CPOs? I would hate to be aiming for an unachievable price.
On a side note, this car just came in on local trade. It was posted on the Porsche national website, but the car was not even out for sale. It was in service completing the pre sale service and inspection. The salesman I contacted didn't even know the car existed. This was the combo I had ben looking for for months and was far better equipped than I could have imagined.
After the sale, at no additional charge, they agreed to remove the "fading" full front nose protective film and gave a full polish & detail, threw in new Porsche logo floor mats and added a couple of tools that were missing from the small kit
. They were top notch throughout the sale

Just dont tell the dealer you bought it from a dealer that wasnt a porsche dealer. Keep that to yourself, and youll be golden. It should technically be void unless you get private party or a P dealer.
