Default Thoughts on new wheels for 991.2 Targa Viper Green

Looking to commission a set of wheels
Thinking they will be similar to the 50th Anniversary wheels
Initial thoughts are keeping stock specs
8.5 x 20 49
11.5 x 20 56
pro and cons keeping stock specs?

Regarding the finishes, I think I like the 50th anniversary style, believe that's a gloss black?
Also like the idea of an homage to the 70s, but in the more modern style
Attached is a few photos I pulled together. Top half on the right is my car. Two photos on the left, I did a little copy/paste w/the 50th anniversary wheels.
Bottom, 60's and 70's Viper Green Targas, along with the photo I copied the wheels from, in the top photo.
Would like to be able to use stock OEM center caps
Let me know what you think, thanks

Love the wheels! I’d personally push the wheels out a bit for a near flush finish... it helps accentuate the hips imo... but those wheels will look great!

I think those are the Forgeline ones... $$$ but OMG are they delicious!!!

I wonder what the weights of the fronts are rears are with respect to say an HRE or a more budget option like BC Forged... gosh those Fuchs with gold accents on my night blue would look quite nice 👍 👌

The FU3Cs weigh around what OEM GTS centerlocks weigh. They aren’t super light weight (you can find lighter wheels) but they aren’t crazy heavy, either.

They are available in centerlock or five-lug version. I always loved the 50th anniversary wheels and the Forgeline FU3C is a nice modern interpretation of the Fuchs wheels (with a little more drama/emotion than the 50th anniversary wheels). Either set (the 50th anniversary wheels or the Forgeline FU3Cs) would look great!

>>Let me know what you think, thanks<<

I think the 50th wheels or knock-offs look fantastic on a Targa. The OEM 50th wheels show up for sale from time to time if you have the patience to wait for them (I know I wouldn’t).

+1 for the 50th Anniversary wheels. One of my all time favorite Porsche wheels.

Are you sure your stock wheels are not 20x9 and 20x12? I thought 991.2 went up from 20x8.5 and 20.11.5 wheels.

Top left would look sweet on your Targa, as would most any wheel.

I have received a few PM’s asking if they are cast. They are actually forged. I believe they are maybe one of two or three wheels that are forged from Porsche.

Pros of keeping stock specs: piece of mind that the OEM specs work without problems (if you don't have confidence in aftermarket wheel specs)
Pros of wider wheels & more aggressive offsets: you can mount wider tires which improve handling, acceleration, and deceleration due to more grip. The car arguably looks better as well with the wheel wells filled out more.
