A quick peek at new (2018-2019) 911s available per Cars.com...

26 Carrera Ts
31 Targa 4 GTS
42 Carrera 4 GTS
64 Carrera GTS

Now take a look at the available Carrera Ts. What do nearly all of them have in common? PDK. There wouldn’t be 26 left if those PDK cars were manuals.

As an aside, there are 70 Turbo and 125 Turbo S cars available. Whoa.

As for me, I never talk up cars I own. I talk them down. They're all just cars and most of them are frustrating. I'm the guy with no clear bra brah. If we're functioning at the level of blowing smoke up each other's asses because we own the respective product I need to reevaluate. It's kinda like that in life too, some people need to tell themselves how right they are. Price does have something to do with it, in that as you get near GT3 money the appeal goes way down for a non GT car. All the car companies are a mess. It's kinda GT or nothing, and for who knows how long. It's electric time now. I'm probably not buying any more new model gas engines. A 356, a 964, a 911R or a GT3T to keep, and the rest of the lifestyle boats can be plugged in from here on out.

I have a C2 GTS and i love it. It is PDK as i am not that capable driver to utilize car capabilities with a manual transmission. GTS is a very fast car. Needs to be quite careful and mature.

If i have to buy today a New P car i would buy a 991T with LWB, PCCBs AND manual. The last of the narrow body creations that i can keep for many many years in my garage.

I know GTS is faster, i know that GT cars are faster but Who cares?? How many of us that we own 450hp cars use the cars more than 40% of their capabilities?

Owning a 911 is not about the hp. It is about the engagement with the car every time you switch on the ignition. Honestly i believe a 991 T is the best value for money at this moment.

I love my GTS and i plan to keep it for many years. It was a special order that i had to wait almost 11 months to be delivered.
My next target is a GT4 RS probably in 2 years from now.

Jeepers. Both you guys need to knock this name-calling, member critical crap off. This BS of name-calling and putting another person publically down is not my idea of freedom of speech. You both lead privileged lives (you own Porsches and a computer) and should be grateful for it and I'd be willing to bet if you both met in person you'd be all smiles and hugs. Need more challenge in life to keep your excitement level high? Go do some worth volunteer work or something, but please knock this crap off.

P.s. Flame away...

No flames, I just love it when people argue online over a car trim 🤡

How dare you defile the honor of my GTS!! You’re just mad that you didn’t get the G and S!

and vice versa for the T...

If 56 is old I am guilty - what the F does age have to do with anything here?! And what the F does that stupid pic have to do with the OP's question in this thread? Again, geez.

This thread is now closed.

I don't wander into this section of Rennlist that often, but when I see a thread deteriorate into namecalling, not so veiled threats and generally childish behavior - I gotta wonder just what's wrong with this group, and why do the more expensive Porsche models seem to garner this sort of behavior.

Are you all really that insecure that you have to fight over each other's choice of cars? I don't see this in the Boxster/Cayman forums I visit, I don't ever see this in the Cayenne forums that I moderate. It seems limited to 911 owners of recent high priced iron from Porsche.

Really - grow up. As someone pointed out - you are all privileged to even own an expensive Porsche. You then have to try one-upping each other?

Sad. Thread closed.

I have done an extensive clean up on this thread. Aside to the guy who demands (DEMANDS) posts be removed, encouraging controversy has consequences. People usually make rational choices when choosing a car. Demeaning their choice is never a good idea and usually leads to the kind of stupid confrontation exemplified in this thread.

In sum, if you like a blue GTS - good for you. If you prefer a yellow T fine. You both made a fine choice. Don't dump on (for example) my white GT3RS because I didn't pick the samecar you did.

Regards,
