Yesterday I had the opportunity to drive a Turbo S cab (2016), a GTS (991.2 - 2019) and new 2020 Carrerra S. I drove the Turbo S first, 1,600 miles on it (lease return - go figure no fun had there) and it was nice, but you can feel the weight and being a cab, not well suited for occasional track duty. Great deal, but not the right car. Next up was the GTS but it was behind a bunch of cars and the SM said here are the keys to a 2020 S outside - just go drive it while we get the GTS out. I did - I was really surprised at how nice it was overall and fast as well. For a DD it is a really nice car. Then I drove a GTS and while it no question is the more capbable track car and would be more fun on the weekends - it is by no means a DD versus the 2020 S - more road noise, much firmer ride etc. I then got back in my Golf R and drove 30 miles home - for the money, it is hard to beat.

So my take away was as follows:

Have now - DD - Golf R, GT4, Z/28 and GMC AT4 Crew Cab
If I want to DD Porsche - then Carrerra S, Z/28 and truck
If I want a weekend/track Porsche - Golf R, GT3 and truck
If I could only have 1 car - GTS and truck

So at this point I want to DD a Porsche 150 miles per day, 4 days per week - so considering ordering a 2020 Carrerra S exactly how I want it. Decisions - Decisions!

That would be a great combination, with Carrera in T form.

That's my solution - I picked up a CPO 2018 Cayenne Platinum Edition for a very good price in Feb. Perfect compliment to the T, and I've been stunned at just how versatile a vehicle it is. Best part is, I never have to learn a different user-interface :-)

cheers!
