Being new to the Porsche Ownership Club.......I have a couple of questions concerning the headliners on the 991.2 cars. I recently purchased a '18 Carrera T and was wondering if the Alcantara headliner was part of the Carrera T Interior Package? Or, is the Alcantara headliner standard on all of the 991.2 models? The reason I'm asking is that while building a base 992 on Porsche's site, it lists an Alcantara headliner as an option. A $1,360 option! Maybe I'm just missing something obvious, but would appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
By the way, it's my first Porsche and I'm an old geezer.....boy have I missed out not getting in the "Club" sooner!
I know that on the 991 (.1 & .2), the Alcantara headliner was standard (I think the T also). It is not on the 992, which is not cool! Welcome to the Porsche club!
Thanks for the reply! My T doesn't have a sunroof which was my preference when I was shopping for the car. I really like the Alcantara headliner. It's a beautiful finishing touch to an already spectacular car. I wasn't sure if the base 991 had Alcantara as standard. Good to know.
That's a huge $$$$ option on the 992!

Big shout out of appreciation to all of the members of Rennlist!! My learning curve was steep, but you guys really brought me up to speed! I didn't start out looking for a Carrera T, but after spending hours and hours reading the posts, I shifted my focus to the T. I couldn't be happier with my decision! Not a smidge of buyers remorse.

I would not mind mouse fur (aka alcantara) on my .2 headliner but not where I need to sit or feel! Some like it and that is fine, but good ole leather cannot be beat!

Agreed 100%. I do like it as a headliner very much though. Just one of those things that make the car special.
That's really disappointing. 991 always had an Alcantara headliner and if you got even the most basic leather package the Alcantara came down the pillars to the dash as well. A six figure car should come with a six figure interior.
