Default Nitrogen tires

2017 CPO 991.2
Can all please share advice on storage of vehicle with tires filled with nitrogen? 1. Do nothing. 2. Over inflate. 3. Use the curve ramps to prevent dead spots. 4. Just place carpet squares underneath tires.
Vehicle will be in storage from Nov to April. Tires are the Pirellis.
Thanks in advance for all comments

I'd fill up your tires with 78% nitrogen, 20% oxygen, 1% argon, and 1% trace to about 55-58 psi. All dry as possible.

Yes, I agree, just fill with air.

However, I would not inflate to 55-58 psi as it seems a bit extreme especially for the front which would be about 65% greater than the "doorjamb" pressure.

If you have access to the car I would check tire pressures monthly and adjust as necessary. If you don't have access, I would consider getting all four wheels/tires off the ground.

The tire pressures on your door jamb and tire pressures use for storage are completely unrelated. My tires are at 58 psi, and the car is stored in a heated garage.

For long term storage, i always air-filled to max rated pressure listed on sidewalls, and parked on carpet samples. 50 some psi, typically. This helps prevent flat spotting. Nitrogen for tires has been losing favor recently.

^^^ This. Although I don’t store my C2S, as our temperatures allow for winter driving, I sometimes travel internationally for extended periods. I just park it on carpet squares, inflate the tires to 50 psi, and plug in the battery maintainer. Never a problem, even sitting for 150+ days!

I loved Nitrogen fills, when I could get them... A bit stiffer ride, but those larger molecules didn't leak near as much. No BS. But, getting a Nitrogen fill in Central Texas is impossible.

I'd over inflate a bit, just to be safe. But track it over the storage and I bet you don't lose very much.

Good luck!

Aren't 2 sets of tires set to same pressure going to ride the same? Nitrogen in street tires has been proven to be a waste of time& money.

Sorta, Mr. Hilar... They don't heat cycle the same, so what you fill is what you get.

Keeps the tires from sitting on the cement. Eliminates flat spotting.

Ok, so what is special about 58 psi in a tire? Why not 68 psi?

Southern Maryland... Why store it? You think you get winter there?
