Default OT, Unfortunately... (F1 Content Inside...)

Why oh why can't Porsche regain its glory days from the 1960s!?! (And yes, that is rhetorical...)

Awesome day out at COTA for FP3 and Quals this afternoon.

You KNOW it is going to be a party when Los Tres Amigos show up!

Really, really cool of Texas Lottery and Operation Support Drop (OSD) to set-up the Military Outpost for active duty and veterans. Great views of T-18 and the climb up to T-1...

Soon to be World Champion (Lord willing and watch over them all...)

America's Team! Go Haas, GO!!!!

Most Excellent Day and Hoping for More Tomorrow...

If I wanted to watch a parade I would do so on TV, so I could more easily leave and do something else.

Kimi applauds your attempt at humor. Unfortunately you were about as successful as he was today...

It is indeed sad how the cars are so much faster now but it's rarely a race to remember. F1 and Indy cars cannot often be compared but on this track which they both use, they are 18 seconds ahead. That's about 3/4 mile in one lap, an F1 car would easily lap an Indy car in just 5 laps. The technology has dulled the basic idea of racing though.

Enjoy the spectacle S S, have a great day tomorrow.

Petit Le mans this year, I attended...

Because Porsche has better things to do....

Come join us at Petit Le Mans next year ( photos I took )

Im sure F1 race at COTA would be fun - I was there last for WEC in 2016 and porsche drove 919 hybrids.

Have fun!

I bet Hamilton wins!!!!!!!! Two mercedes on the podium is a given.......

Sorry all, I was not trying to be funny but what does this have to do with 991s, or even Porsche? Forums have subjects for a reason!

Even worse. The only one I can handle is IMSA, in person.

What 1960s glory days specifically ? Porsche never did all that well in F1 in the 60s. I think Gurney won one race (Rouen or Reims or whatever, can't recall). They were only getting class victories at Le Mans... The did way better in the 70s (917), and 80-90s in endurance (956-962), and again very recently with the 919 - 3y running. But F1 ? their last decent attempt was the Porsche built Tag engine in the MacLaren in the early 80s if memory serves...

Anyway, good for you on seeing the F1 race at COTA, not sure about the 60s glory days though ;-)
