Yup, stop adding it up. My wife wanted to go solar, and I wanted a car port. I told her to go ahead and arrange it, just don't tell me the cost. So we got a package including whole timber Douglas fir beams from the pacific northwest. Looks good but don't ask how long the break-even point is.
but got a place to charge the Taycan Turbo S?

If I had hair, I would be tearing it out now. So two weeks have gone by. I was told that I needed the GT3 AC hard lines, as stock GTS never allowed the air box to be mounted flush against the body. It is the only parts that were not in stock in the country. They had to come from Germany. I was told two weeks. So yesterday I get a text saying Porsche had contacted my race mechanic and said, they have contacted Porsche Germany and are awaiting a response.
What response? No response necessary. Order the god dam air con hard lines. If a GT3 had a front on crash, these metal tubes would get crushed and need to be replaced. There is nothing special about them, except they bend around the box, instead of just going straight across the front of the car. WTF!!!
I should have had them by now. I can't even tear hair out as I shave my head. I need to grow some hair and then tear it out. It would be faster!

I have felt your pain. I had my dealer order me a Sport Chrono (dash unit) and it also had to come from Germany: 5 weeks later it arrived.
And you must have hair on your body somewhere to pull out!

I think that would play with my OCD. The entire front end is now OEM GT3. I don't want to have to say, Except the AC lines LOL.
It 's an illness, I understand. It has to be done correctly or not at all.

The cost of repair parts, cost of numerous air bags and associated interior damage, no pull frames, diminished value claims all lead to big bills for insurance companies. It is easier for most companies to just payout their definition of FMV for the car which is usually low anyway.
Add to this that most owners desire to total a car out like this because of services like Carfax that essentially axe the value of your car for any minor repair regardless of how minor or well done the repair was.
So if you were Porsche, would you keep high levels of stock on repair parts?
